FORTHCOMING EVENTS

SUNRISE CAMP 2007

Saturday 28th July to Sunday 5th August 2007

A summer camp for the Centenary year at our own Area Camp Site in Machynlleth with a great Sunrise Ceremony in Welshpool on 1st August.

Where: Area Campsite in Machynlleth except for Wednesday in Welshpool.

When: Scouts upwards: all week. Cubs: 6pm Friday to 2.30pm Sunday. Beavers: 3pm to 9.30pm Saturday.

Travel: by train from Welshpool and Newtown. Kit will travel by road.

Activities: hillwalking, seaside, Harlech Castle, crab fishing, camera obscura, cliff railway, swimming, sports, pioneering, bivouacs, cooking, film, barbeque, wide games, team working and other actitivies.

Cost: £65 inclusive of food, travel, activities, camp badge for full camp. £12 for Cubs. £5 for Beavers.

Kit list: tent (we have some), sleeping bag, blanket, change of clothes, wash kit, eating kit, mug, swimming kit, towels, torch, change of shoes, raincoat, walking boots, gloves, warm hat, warm jumper.

SUNRISE CEREMONY 2007

Wednesday 1st August 2007 7.45 - 8.30am.

The day 100 years ago when Scouting started.

Where: please be at Welshpool Town Hall by 7.45am.

Activities: a satellite link to Brownsea Island, a visual presentation and renewal of promises.

No booking required - just appear on the day. All welcome. There will be tea and coffee with biscuits (small donations please).
