2007 is the Centenary of Scouting.

CENTENARY EVENTS

The 2007 programme in Montgomeryshire started with Winter Camp at Blackwell Court for Scouts and Explorer Scouts. This was followed closely by the UK Tour where twelve Scouts and Explorer Scouts joined three leaders touring the whole the UK including Scotland, Ireland and all regions of England, visiting Scouts in each area. There is a DVD of the event.

At the beginning of March there was a St David's Day service in both Guilsfield and Newtown, with renewal of promises and a screening of the DVD "If the world was a village of 1000 people".

Easter saw the eventful trip to Paris with some 55 attending from Montgomeryshire and South Berkshire, followed by the Centenary Camp over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May.

To come is the Sunrise Ceremony, Parent and Child Camp and finally the Railway trip in December.
